EXSEL GROUP, one of the fastest growing IT and communications companies in Scotland, announced today it has won a three-year deal to supply information and communications technology to the SSE Hydro in Glasgow.

The six-figure deal, negotiated with AEG Global Partnerships, will provide Scotland’s biggest live entertainment arena with the latest equipment and monitoring software to improve workflow and efficiency.

The new contract comes just days after Glasgow-based Exsel was recognised with a prestigious trade honour in the Comms Dealer Sales and Marketing Awards being named ‘Reseller of the Year for 2016’ for UK companies with a turnover between £2.5million and £5million.

Exsel managing director Tom McDonald said he was delighted to add the SSE Hydro, one of the most visited live entertainment venues in the world, to the list of top-ranked companies already in the company’s portfolio.  These include the SFA, Celtic FC, the Scottish Futures Trust, Muir Construction and leading charity Enable Scotland.

Tom said: “Securing one of Scotland’s most recognised brands and landmarks is a proud day for all of Exsel Group. This latest addition to our growing list of Scottish blue chip clients underlines our ability to provide top quality service and products. We are looking forward to a long relationship with the SSE Hydro and working with them on future projects.

“In the coming months we will seek to strengthen links with the venue and look for mobility, connectivity and software solutions within the Hydro’s ICT roadmap helping the organisation to build an efficient and sustainable ICT portfolio.”

Exsel, which is headquartered at the CityPark offices in Glasgow, was ranked third among the UK’s fastest-growing technology companies in Deloitte’s Fast 50 last year and 19th on its Fast 500 EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) list.

Earlier this year, the company won backing worth half a million pounds from Coralinn LLP, the private investment vehicle of leading Scottish entrepreneur Hugh Stewart OBE
